British actress Kim Hartman was born on 11 January 1952 and studied at the Webber Douglas Academy in London,   Her early work was in the theatre, and she has toured in plays in the Far and Middle East.

She has had many starring roles on British TV, but is most famous for her role as Helga in the long-running series of ‘Allo ‘Allo,  She and the rest of the cast toured with the stage show, around the UK and Australia and New Zealand.

Along with her extensive theatre and television work, Kim Hartman has also appeared in TV Talk and Quiz Shows, as well as radio drama and pantomimes.

She has two children and lives with her husband in the country.

Kim Hartman has been a keen and active supporter of Our Disappearing Planet and reprises her role as Helga Geerhart at the many shows she attends in support of the charity.
